Crop Circles Lose, 8-2, to Death Valley
|
The Death Valley Burn faced a tough opponent in Iowa pitcher Ted Duke, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Cornfield by a final score of 8-2. Duke went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Death Valley is off to a hot start at 6-3.
Death Valley used a clutch at-bat from Vincent Hill to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Burn ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Death Valley manager .
