Railbirds Get Past Amarillo for 1-0 Win
|
The Reading Railbirds beat the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 1-0. Reading pitcher and Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, native Carlos Caro led the way. With the win, the Railbirds hiked their record to 62-44.
Dave Rouse was the walk-off hero for Reading. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Railbirds first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Rouse said.
