Storm Slap 6-2 Loss on Aces
The West Island Storm got a strong performance from pitcher Nathan Skillenaer, who stymied the Atlantic City offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Trump Stadium. Skillenaer yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-1. The Aces fall to 5-7 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Carl Aguirre? The West Island third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Storm on top, 3-2. For the game, Aguirre had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Nathan gave us everything he had," said West Island manager Matthew Tietz.
