The Iowa Crop Circles defeated the Death Valley Burn, 6-5, at The Cornfield. Leading the charge for Iowa was catcher Kenny Corbin. He went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Iowa reliever Michael Walker picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Juan Jose Díaz took the loss. Iowa is now 53-67, Death Valley 67-53.

The Crop Circles got a big at-bat from designated hitter Don Baker. For the game, Baker was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 9th double of the season gave Iowa a 4-3 lead.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Corbin told the Iowa Daily.
