Crab Apple Cove 8-5 After 5-2 Win Over Iowa
Crab Apple Cove and Iowa duked it out and the Mashers came out victorious.

The Crab Apple Cove Mashers racked up a win at Vargas Field, bumping off the Iowa Crop Circles, 5-2. Kevin Underwood, who started for Crab Apple Cove, pitched effectively for his team. Picking up the save was Manny Chávez, his 3rd.

The Mashers got a big at-bat from third baseman Gonzalo Pimentel. For the game, Pimentel was 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Crab Apple Cove a 2-1 lead.

Crab Apple Cove manager was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.

The Crop Circles drop to 4-8, as their fitful start to the 2074 campaign continues.
