Cape Canaveral and Amarillo got after it at The Chicken Coop.

The Cape Canaveral Launch topped the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 12-3, in Appalachian action at The Chicken Coop. The game was highlighted by the performance of Cape Canaveral center fielder Dan Lawrence. The victory gives the Launch a record of 66-56.

With Cape Canaveral leading 4-3 in the top of the sixth, Lawrence hit a splitter from Severus Snape for a 2-run double. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Launch ahead, 6-3.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Cape Canaveral manager Mike Best.
