The St. Paul Bearers took Reading pitcher Connor Kelloway's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Casket County Stadium. The final score had St. Paul getting past the Railbirds, 4-2. Kelloway went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. Gonzalo Martínez was the winner in relief. His record is now 7-7. The losing pitcher was Felipe Estrada. Jorge Romero was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 3 save opportunities.

Gerardo Maldonado went 1-2 with a walk for St. Paul. The six-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Miguel Hernández. It was his 84th RBI of the season.

"I thought we played a nice game," Maldonado told the St. Paul Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

With the win, the Bearers have a record of 68-70.
