Falcons Lose, 5-2, in 14
|
The Atlantic City Aces picked up a win at Falcons Field, knocking off the Newark Falcons, 5-2, in 14 innings. On the mound for Atlantic City was right-hander César Pérez. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Newark's current losing streak is now 6 games.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ed Kidd? The 24-year old shortstop Kidd stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 14th inning to put Atlantic City up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 6, including 1 double and 1 single.
"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Aces manager .
