Crus Shines in 11-4 Redstone Win
|
The Redstone Ridge Raptors defeated the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates, 11-4. Doing his part was second baseman Anastasio Crus, who was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The Frontier Southern-leading Ridge Raptors have a record of 92-61.
In the bottom of the first inning, the Ridge Raptors grabbed the lead when Randy Miller rapped a two-out single. Redstone was trailing 1-0, when Miller hit a 2-run single off Loren Sanders to put his team in front, 2-1.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Crus told the Redstone Herald.
