Parks 3-4 to Power Railbirds Offense
The Reading Railbirds beat the Boston Revolution, 5-3, at Schuylkill Landing Park. Sherman Parks, in particular, was impressive. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Reading reliever Jim Hines was the winner. His record is now 6-4. Sid Jackson took the loss. The victory gives the Railbirds a record of 91-65.

Had Gonzalo Pimentel not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Pimentel hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Railbirds.

Pimentel called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
