Late Magic Gets Minneapolis 4-2 Win
The Minneapolis Maulers and Orlando Rum Runners played an exciting game.

The Minneapolis Maulers topped the Orlando Rum Runners, 4-2, in Appalachian action at Krono Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Minneapolis pitcher Jorge Martínez. Martínez went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 10. His record improves to 6-22.

Minneapolis used the clutch hitting of Leslie Parkinson to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Maulers the lead, 3-2. For the game, Parkinson had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"I thought we played a nice game," Parkinson told the Minneapolis Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The Maulers go to 37-120 with the win.
