The Crab Apple Cove Mashers used the hitting of first baseman Ed Rebow to subdue the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 5-3. For the game, Rebow was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win was credited to former first round draft pick Manny Chávez in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Artie Morris took the loss. Howard Davis closed out the game, earning his 35th save.

Rebow had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Artie Morris, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Mashers a 5-3 lead. It was the 24th home run of the year for Rebow.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Rebow told the Crab Apple Cove Daily News.

Crab Apple Cove, at 80-82, occupies third place in the Frontier Southern.
