Ridge Raptors Squeeze By Death Valley, 2-1

The home crowd had a good time watching the Death Valley Burn and Redstone Ridge Raptors get after it.
The Death Valley Burn could not turn a fine performance from pitcher John Allain into a win. Instead, the Redstone Ridge Raptors prevailed, 2-1. Allain threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Josh Givens claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record stands at 1-0. Victor Jones locked down his 2nd save.
Redstone took the lead, 2-1, on Randy Miller's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Death Valley pitcher Hamilton Hill in the bottom of the eighth.
"Every loss stings," said Death Valley manager . "This one is no exception."
The loss drops the Burn to 0-1.
