The Mexico City Diablos knocked off the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 9-0, in Frontier action at William Penn Park. Mexico City pitcher and Hauterive, Canada, native Bill Strachan had an outstanding performance. Strachan got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 0 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. Philadelphia is now 12-10.

Joe Costa had a big 2-run double for the Diablos in the top of the fifth inning. With Mexico City leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Barraclough and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Diablos ahead, 3-0.

"It feels good to get this one," Strachan told the Mexico City Chronicle.
