António Mireles imposed his will on the Crop Circles from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-0 Mexico City triumph. Mireles, the winner, moves to 1-3. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk. The Diablos, with just their 8th win so far in 2072, have yet to catch fire.

Mexico City used a clutch at-bat from Donald William to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Diablos ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Diablos manager .
