Honolulu High Tide starter Xavier Bender pitched his team past the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 6-0. Amarillo falls to 14-13.

Iván Sandoval had a big 2-run double for the High Tide in the bottom of the third inning. With Honolulu leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Alfredo Villarreal, who is tied for 6th in the AP with a 10.7 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the High Tide ahead, 3-0.

"Xavier really held it together well," said Honolulu manager .
