Caro, Railbirds Get 7-0 Win
|
The Reading Railbirds picked up a win at Schuylkill Landing Park, knocking off the West Island Storm, 7-0. On the mound for Reading was right-hander Carlos Caro, who played a pivotal role in the win. Reading, with the win, is 23-9.
Caro, who dominated for Reading, earned the victory to move to 5-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 6. West Island batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Reading skipper Slam Dunks.
