A good performance from right fielder Sherman Parks helped the Reading Railbirds defeat the Richmond Ravens, 13-5. Parks was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 3 walks. He scored 4 times and drove in 3 for the Railbirds. Picking up the win was Connor Kelloway. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 9 and walked 2. The Ravens drop to 17-18 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2072 season.

Anastasio Gormé had a big 2-run double for the Railbirds in the top of the fourth inning. With Reading leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Lonnie Reynolds, who finished 3rd in the FR in innings pitched with 234.2 in 2068, and swatted a double to right. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Railbirds ahead, 5-0.
