Redstone Sent Home with 5-2 Loss
|
Michigan starter Luis Castro pitched well against the Redstone Ridge Raptors at Assembly Line Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Castro, the winner, moves to 4-4. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 3 walks. Michigan is now 13-22, Redstone 19-13.
The Magicians got a big at-bat from second baseman Jim Crawford. For the game, Crawford was 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Michigan a 3-1 lead.
"I thought we played a nice game," Castro told the Michigan Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
