Cheesesteaks Deal Chicken Haulers 12-11 Defeat

The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks and Amarillo Chicken Haulers lit up the scoreboard.
The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks trumped the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 12-11, at The Chicken Coop. Philadelphia center fielder Steve Baker was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Philadelphia reliever Marcello Tilli picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Bill Roberts took the loss.
Manuel Vega had a key at-bat with two out in the top of the ninth for Philadelphia. With the bases loaded and the Cheesesteaks leading 9-8, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Vega told the Philadelphia Herald.
At 17-19, the Cheesesteaks claim third place in the Frontier Northern.
