There was no shortage of dramatics at Launch Pad.

The Cape Canaveral Launch spoiled a good performance by Death Valley shortstop Leon Banks, bumping off Death Valley, 7-6, at Launch Pad. Banks went 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Brennan Ramos was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was John Pierce.

The decisive blow was delivered by Fernando Borges in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 28-year old right-handed pitcher John Pierce to win the game for Cape Canaveral. The home crowd went nuts.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Borges.

Cape Canaveral is now 16-19, Death Valley 15-19.
