Crop Circles Rally to Win
|
The Iowa Crop Circles outlasted the Atlantic City Aces, 7-6, in 10 innings. Iowa designated hitter Clyde Ashe stood out with his performance. He went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Scott Swanson wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save. At 16-18, the Crop Circles claim 4th place in the Frontier Northern.
The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Ashe delivered big-time for Iowa, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Mike Salas. The game-changing hit put the Crop Circles on top, 7-6.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Andy Ward, the Iowa skipper.
