The Crab Apple Cove Mashers picked up a win at Vargas Field, downing the Redstone Ridge Raptors, 6-3. On the mound for Crab Apple Cove was right-hander Erik Courtney, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Crab Apple Cove win streak is now 3 games.
In the bottom of the second inning, the Mashers grabbed the lead when Miguel Ramírez rapped a two-out single. Crab Apple Cove was trailing 1-0, when Ramírez hit a 2-run single off Roberto Flores to put his team in front, 2-1.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Ramírez told the Crab Apple Cove News.
