The Michigan Militia used a great performance from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Dennis Robertson to beat the Honolulu High Tide, 2-0, at Champagne of Beers Field. Robertson, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing no runs. The win has Michigan at 2-3.

Michigan used a clutch at-bat from Tom Mullins to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Militia ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Dennis had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Michigan manager Henry Lehrer.
