Maulers Sink Monuments, 6-2
|
The Minneapolis Maulers knocked off the Washington Monuments, 6-2, at MacLaren Stadium. Leslie Parkinson produced 2 singles and 1 double, while scoring 1 run and driving in 4. The win makes Minneapolis 9-31, nothing to write home about.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Parkinson, who led the AP in doubles with 46 in 2066, hit a 2-run single. It propelled the Maulers into the lead, 3-1.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Parkinson said after the game.
