Maulers Upend Ravens, 4-3
|
Minneapolis picked up a win at Battle Field, toppling the Richmond Ravens, 4-3. Pitcher Alfredo Careno was one of the reasons the Maulers triumphed. Careno, now 4-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The Maulers now own a record of 17-23.
Minneapolis took advantage of an error in the top of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Armando Sierra hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Minneapolis in front, 4-2.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Richmond manager Jason Cary said following the tough loss.
