High Tide 3-1 Winners Over Richmond
|
Champagne of Beers Field was the site of a competitive game between the Richmond Ravens and Honolulu High Tide.
Starting pitcher Júlio Sepúlveda took care of business, helping the Honolulu High Tide stifle the Richmond Ravens, 3-1. Sepúlveda, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks.
In the bottom of the 3rd, Honolulu took the lead on a 2-run single by Robert Wade. At the time, the High Tide were trailing 1-0, but Wade's hit with two outs against Richmond pitcher Curt Brown put them in front, 2-1.
"Júlio was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Honolulu manager .
The High Tide improved their record to 21-22 with the win over Richmond.
