Muñíz Batters New England for 5 Hits
A jubilant Jesús Muñíz joined the postgame press conference at Ballpark of Jersey City today to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the New England Red Barons pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Pine Bluff Man Trolls right fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-7 hitting performance, which led the Man Trolls to a 28-1 win.

"He made it look easy," said , manager of the Red Barons . "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Jesús Muñíz grounded out in the 1st, hit a sac fly in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
