Andrés Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cuervo
|
San Jose Cuervo starter Don Gibbs pitched a strong game against the Redstone Ridge Raptors at Welsh Field, leading the Cuervo to victory, 4-3. San Jose reliever Luis Miguel Morales was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Javier Martínez took the loss. The Cuervo now have a mark of 21-22.
Marvin Andrés was the walk-off hero for San Jose. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cuervo first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Gibbs. "More importantly, I had a good game."
