Crop Circles Get Past Boston for 4-3 Win
|
The Iowa Crop Circles topped the Boston Revolution by the score of 4-3, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Gonzalo Gredillas. Gredillas was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times for the Crop Circles. The winner in relief was Scott Swanson. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. The win puts Iowa at 20-30.
Iowa took a 4-3 lead on Eric Warren's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Warren hit in the top of the ninth, left Boston pitcher Gerardo González visibly frustrated.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Iowa manager Andy Ward.
