|
Led by Lee Davis, the Havana Comrades defeated the Laredo Border Jumpers, 6-1. Davis went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Comrades. The winning pitcher was Mark Davenport. He tossed 89 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. The losing skid has reached 9 games for Laredo.
Havana took a 5-1 lead on Davis's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Jon Buckley in the top of the seventh, propelled Havana to the win.
