Rodríguez on Fire, Strikes out 15 Barrels
Paul Rodríguez of the Brighton Fightin' Squirrels put on a pitching clinic today at Republic Ballpark as he struck out 15 Crab Apple Cove Barrels in a 10-0 victory. Rodríguez, who is tied for 2nd in the PAC with a 1.10 ERA, was simply magnificent as he held the Barrels to 3 hits. He walked 4.

"I felt okay at the beginning," Rodríguez said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."

When asked about Rodríguez's performance, Fightin' Squirrels manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."

So far this year Rodríguez has a 10-1 record with a 1.10 ERA.
