Nishida Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Even as a kid, Yoshimasa Nishida said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Moths Ballpark, Nishida showed how well he learned that lesson.

The 21-year-old shortstop had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Chibougamou Onions, helping his team knock off the Mankato Minutemen by a score of 9-8.

"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did."

Yoshimasa Nishida struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
