A good performance from first baseman Mark Hancock helped the Death Valley Burn defeat the Crab Apple Cove Mashers, 4-2. Hancock went 2-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI for the Burn. Crab Apple Cove has now lost 7 in a row.

Early in the game, Hancock had a bases-clearing double for Death Valley. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Burn on top, 3-0.

After the game, Death Valley manager Kevin Heiser applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
