Kenny Hecker pitched a gem to lead Orlando to victory over the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 5-0. Hecker went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-5. With the win, the Rum Runners sit at 30-29.

The Rum Runners got an important contribution from third baseman Darby Blenkinsopp, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a 3-1 fastball into right for a solo home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Rum Runners ahead, 2-0.
