Coyotes Win, 5-1, at Minneapolis
|
MacLaren Stadium was the site for Appalachian action featuring the Minneapolis Maulers and Keg Creek Coyotes.
Starting pitcher Andy Thomas was a major factor in the 5-1 Keg Creek Coyotes triumph over the Minneapolis Maulers. Wilson Espinosa, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Keg Creek relied on the bat of Dallas Hecht to get the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning to put the Coyotes ahead, 1-0. For the game, Hecht had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Minneapolis manager Marty Marty Boeck.
At 29-30, the Coyotes are currently second in the Appalachian Northern.
