Crop Circles Come Up Short at Reading, 6-5
The Reading Railbirds defeated the Iowa Crop Circles, 6-5, in Frontier action at Schuylkill Landing Park. Greg Taylor pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Reading reliever Dustin Roemer picked up the win to move to 1-2. Louie Nelson suffered the loss. Iowa's current losing streak has reached 5 games.

Taylor had a timely hit for Reading in the bottom of the seventh. With Iowa trailing 5-4, he turned a 0-1 cutter into a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Reading.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Reading manager Slam Dunks.
