Lobstermen Win Round 1
|
A classic and dramatic Round 1 has wrapped up, with the Bar Harbor Lobstermen outlasting the Brighton Fightin' Squirrels to advance to the Round 2.
Bar Harbor won the final game by a score of 2-1 and took the series 3-2.
"We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Bar Harbor first baseman Kyle Harmon, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP.
Harmon hit .545 with a .565 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Bar Harbor Lobstermen will play against the Chihuahuan Chuckwallas in the next round. Chihuahuan won their series against the Chibougamou Onions 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
