Storm Win at Havana, 3-1
|
The West Island Storm went home winners at The Ballpark at Habanos Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Chris Hall. Hall stifled the Havana Comrades, enabling West Island to grab the 3-1 win. The slumping Comrades have lost 6 straight.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Francisco Olivares? The West Island first baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Storm on top, 2-0. For the game, Olivares had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said West Island manager Jeremy Mills.
