Loren Sanders, who finished 2nd in the FR in wins with 17 in 2072, propelled his team to victory over the Redstone Ridge Raptors. The final score was 5-1, Philadelphia. Getting the save was Ken Barnett, his 1st. Philadelphia, now 6-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.

Travis Hobbs had a big 2-run home run for the Cheesesteaks in the top of the fifth inning. With Philadelphia leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a sinker from Gerald Tynsdale, who finished 2nd in the FR in innings pitched with 225.1 last year, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Cheesesteaks on top, 3-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Hobbs told the Philadelphia Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
