It took a while, but the West Island Storm finally disposed of the Cape Canaveral Launch 10-0 in the series clincher at Launch Pad.

Winning the finale gave the Storm the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 3.

The Most Valuable Player Award went to West Island left fielder Gilberto Amador. He batted .433 in the series, collecting 8 RBIs and scoring 8 runs.

The West Island Storm will play against the Ozark Outlaws in the next round. Ozark won their series against the Vermont Lake Monsters 4 games to 3. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
