Round 3 Goes the Distance, Cape Canaveral Prevails
The joy and relief on the faces of the Cape Canaveral Launch players was obvious as they celebrated their Round 3 win over the West Island Storm.

"In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Cape Canaveral third baseman Derek Burns, shortly after the 5-2 win that clinched the series 4-3. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done."

The team is now off to the Round 4.

Burns won series MVP honors on the strength of his .259 batting average during the series. He also had a .300 on-base percentage and 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Cape Canaveral Launch don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates - Alcatraz Island Jail Break series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 4 schedule will be announced after the Round 3 finishes.
