Railbirds Fall Short, 2-1, at Keg Creek
|
The Keg Creek Coyotes got a magnificent performance from pitcher Gerald Casey, who stifled the Reading offense en route to a 2-1 Coyotes win at Coyote Den Stadium. Casey went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 8-2. Keg Creek improves to 43-22 with the win. They lead their division by 8 games.
David Wilson drew 1 walk for Keg Creek. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Connor Kelloway. It was his 25th RBI of the season.
"Gerald is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Keg Creek manager Jay Kunstler.
