Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Monuments
Washington Monuments pitcher George Skinner was all business, helping his team muzzle the West Island Storm, 6-1. Washington is now 41-26.

Washington used the timely hitting of Rodrigo Carrillo to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Monuments on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I liked his command," said Washington manager Ed Malloy. "George was throwing strikes."
