Railbirds Rally For 4-2 Win
|
The Reading Railbirds faced a tough opponent in Iowa pitcher Fernando Farías, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Schuylkill Landing Park by a final score of 4-2. Farías went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The victory gives Reading a record of 37-30.
Reading took a 4-1 lead on Harvey Gregg's 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Iowa pitcher Naofumi Hayagawa in the bottom of the eighth.
"I still think this team can play even better," Gregg told the Reading Chronicle.
