Cheesesteaks Lose at Home, 3-1

Glacier Bay and Philadelphia duked it out and the Ice Pirates came out victorious.
The Glacier Bay Ice Pirates racked up a win at William Penn Park, bumping off the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 3-1. Loren Sanders, who started for Glacier Bay, pitched effectively for his team. Sanders, now 8-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.
José Rodríguez, the 17th overall pick in the 2067 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Rodríguez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Glacier Bay up, 2-1.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Glacier Bay manager Matt Lehrer. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The first-place Ice Pirates have a one-game lead in their division.
