Amarillo wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Paco Ramírez, falling to the West Island Storm, 4-3. Ramírez threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The Storm, at 38-33, have now won 4 straight.

Stu McMillan, the five-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. McMillan contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put West Island up, 4-3.
