Amarillo left fielder Pete Carter had a good game, even if his team did not. The Chicken Haulers dropped a 6-4 decision to Keg Creek at The Chicken Coop. Carter was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Tomás Flores notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 3-0. Ed Clarke closed out the game, earning his 14th save.

Keg Creek used a timely hit from Hugh Reyes to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Coyotes ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
