Pérez Socks it to Woodrats , Cracks 6 Hits Thursday, April 29th, 2049 Lorenzo Pérez really sizzled at the plate today. The Boy Town second baseman blistered the Mojave Woodrats for 6 hits in 8 at-bats in his club's 13-12 defeat. "Pérez was too tough to get out today," the Woodrats skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 6 hits off us, as long as we win. That's the bottom line. We ain't playin' for stats." Lorenzo Pérez flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
