Super Swinger -- Erickson Slams 5 Hits Wednesday, April 30th, 2053 Richmond Ravens center fielder Ted Erickson had a day to remember at Battle Field today, ripping apart the Michigan Militia and sparking the Ravens to a 9-5 victory. Erickson wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Erickson told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Ted Erickson singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Mauro Galván in the 7th.
